AI content creation in LesLinq

With the AI feature in LesLinq, you can generate high-quality text and images directly within the platform. Create engaging learning content in just a few clicks. This feature, powered by OpenAI, supports you throughout the entire creation process. Simply describe what you need, and the AI will assist you instantly.

How does it work?

Open the LesLinq authoring tool and create a new project, or open an existing one. In the top left of the toolbar, you will see the AI icon.

Click on it to open the “Create with AI” panel. In this panel, you can generate text or images with AI support.

1. Selecteer the content type
   Use the TYPE dropdown menu and choose between: Text or Images
   
2. Enter a description
   Type what you want to create in the description field.
   The description can be short. You can add additional context using the dropdown options.
   
3. Improve your description (optional)
   Use the dropdown options below the description field.
   These provide extra context to the AI for better results.
   
4. Use ready-made prompts (optional)
   Click the PROMPTS button and select a ready-made prompt from the list.
   The selected text will be added to the description field and can be edited.
   
5. Generate content
   Click Generate to create the content.
   Note: the Generate button only becomes active once you have entered a description.
   

Generating Text with AI

When you select Text as the content type, you can configure the following options:

• Select Text under TYPE
• Enter a description
  • Describe the text you want to generate
  • You can keep it short and refine later
  • Use the PROMPTS button for ready-made examples
• Define WRITING STYLE, TONE, and LANGUAGE
  • Use the dropdown menus
• Define TEXT STYLE
  • Set visual properties such as font, color, and size
  • These determine how the text appears on the canvas
• Generate the text
  • Click Generate to create the content.
  • Note: the button only becomes active after entering a description.
• Add content to the canvas
  • After the AI generates your content, you can preview it.
  • Satisfied with the result?
  • Click ADD TO PAGE to place it on the canvas
  • Or click NEW PAGE to add it to a new page
  • The content will appear on the canvas and can be edited like any other content.

Generating Images with AI

When you select Images as the content type, configure the following:

• Select Image under TYPE
• Enter a description of the image you want

Define image settings

• Aspect Ratio: square, landscape, or portrait
• Image Resolution: small, medium, or large
• Image Orientation: landscape or portrait

Choose a style

The Style dropdown menu includes options such as:

• Realistic
• Cartoon
• Painting
• And more

You can also choose to generate an image with a transparent background, which is useful for logos or overlays.

Variations

Under Variations, you can generate multiple versions of the image and select the best one.

Generate the image

Click Generate to create the image(s).
Note: the button only becomes active after entering a description.

Add the image to the canvas

Preview the generated image(s), select your preferred version, and:

• Click ADD TO PAGE to add it to the canvas
• Or click NEW PAGE to place it on a new page

The image will appear on the canvas and can be edited like regular content.

Connecting your own OpenAI API token

LesLinq’s AI features are powered by OpenAI. To use them, you need an OpenAI API token.

• Step 1: Get an OpenAI API license
  Go to: https://openai.com/api/
  Log in or create an OpenAI account
  Choose a subscription that fits your needs
  Generate an API key (token) in your OpenAI dashboard
• Important:
  The API token is personal. Store it securely. Usage and costs are handled directly through OpenAI.

• Step 2: Provide the token to LesLinq
  Once you have created the token, securely share it with the LesLinq team.
  They will configure it in your LesLinq environment.
  After setup, you will see the token in the OpenAI section on your account settings page.

• Step 3: Use the AI features
  Once the token is set up, you can start using AI features in the LesLinq editor, such as generating text and images.
  Available functionality depends on your OpenAI subscription.

For generating text

• Edit generated text where needed, the AI provides a strong starting point
• Be specific in your description

• Generate multiple variations to compare
• Experiment with different styles
